1ST INTERNATIONAL TRAINING SCHOOL ON TXRF – September [WG1, WG2, WG3, WG4]
The 1st ISS-TXRF summer school aims at face theoretical and practical aspects of TXRF spectroscopy and will be hold by internationally-recognized experts. Participants (PhD students, researchers and technicians from both academy and private companies) will have the opportunity to learn or expand their knowledge about the basics and applications of TXRF in different scientific fields. Due to the COVID-19 emergency, the summer school will be held on-line. Registration is free of charge and there are nolimits in the number of participants. Official language of the Summer School is English.

QUANTIFICATION OF (HEAVY) METALS IN BREASTMILK WITH TXRF AND COMPARISON WITH OTHER ANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES [WG3, WG4]
The study focuses on determining the potential of using TXRF to quantify different metals in human breastmilk. Additionally, TXRF will be compared to other analytical techniques such as ICP-OES, ICP-MS and WDXRF. A publication is expected from this work.

APPLICATION OF TXRF IN MECHANOCHEMISTRY - A NEW POWERFUL GREEN APPROACH - Application of TXRF [WG3, WG4]
The main objective of this study is to observe the transfer of metal impurities from the vessel material to the sample and the effects on the physicochemical and biological properties of the model. The results obtained will be compared with other techniques such as ICP-OES, ICP-MS.
